Eyelid Lift with Upneeq
What is Upneeq?
Upneeq™ (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) 0.1% is a prescription medication designed to treat acquired blepharoptosis, commonly known as droopy eyelids. It is the first and only FDA-approved, non-surgical treatment for this condition.
How Upneeq Works:
Upneeq works by stimulating the Müller's muscle, a muscle responsible for lifting the upper eyelid. When applied topically, Upneeq causes the Müller's muscle to contract, resulting in an elevation of the upper eyelid.
Key Benefits of Upneeq
Non-Surgical: Upneeq offers a non-invasive alternative to surgical procedures commonly used to address droopy eyelids.
Fast-Acting: Users may experience improvement within 5 to 10 minutes after application, with results lasting up to 8-12 hours.
Convenience: Upneeq can be applied at home and does not require a visit to a surgical center or hospital.
Minimal Side Effects: Clinical trials have shown Upneeq to have a favorable safety profile, with minimal adverse effects reported.
Who Can Benefit from Upneeq?
Upneeq is indicated for adults with acquired blepharoptosis, regardless of the cause. It can be a valuable treatment option for those who wish to avoid surgery or for individuals not suitable candidates for surgical intervention.
